Office closed from Monday 16th of March
We are following NIPH’s (Norwegian Institute of Public Health) guidelines, and will be closing Bærum Orthodontics starting Monday 16th of March. This in order to stop the spread of COVID-19 and to contribute to the maintenance of necessary health and care services, decided by the Norwegian Directorate of Health. Unfortunately are all appointments hereby cancelled. We will get in touch with you regarding a new appointment.
If you’re experiencing an orthodontic emergency, please do send an e-mail to email@example.com. We will try to keep the office open once a week for emergency situations only. More information will soon be provided through our homepage. See our tips below for handling orthodontic emergencies.

Self-help in case of a protruding wire
Occasionally, the end of a wire will work itself out of place and irritate the patient’s mouth. In a situation where the wire is extremely bothersome, you may clip the wire. It’s best to use a nipper and cut the wire with its flat side facing the bracket. See the photos below. Click here for more examples on how to handle orthodontic emergencies.
